Thinking about selling your lot? The Community Recovery Team is working to connect property owners who are considering selling their lots with potential buyers. Those interested in learning more can contact the Greenfield Chamber Main Street & Development Office. Additional details are provided on page 3.
On page 4, we're sharing a reminder about mowing guidelines from the City of Greenfield. There's also a reminder about clearing around stumps for easy removal.
On page 5 you'll find information about Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and their free beds for kids. Parents and guardians can request a free bed by visiting shpbeds.org/request-bed, more details on page 3.

This week’s neighborhood spotlight features a couple residences on SW 2nd, a duplex on S. 1st, construction on SE Jackson and the buzzing activity at the intersection of SE 3rd and Linn.
On page 13, you can learn more about Union State Bank’s 2025 Curb Appeal Finance Program, offering up to $10,000 for exterior improvements like gutters, fencing, and landscaping. Eligible residents can learn more by contacting the bank at 641-343-7310.
Nodaway Valley Elementary is expanding its STEAM program with an outdoor STEM classroom featuring flower and vegetable gardens for hands-on learning. Volunteers are needed to help with watering, weeding, and general upkeep throughout the growing season. Whether you can assist regularly or occasionally, your support makes a difference. To get involved, fill out the attached form or contact NV STEAM via Facebook or the elementary school, more information on page 14.
Stage of Mind Performing Arts, in partnership with local sponsors, is bringing 'Disney’s Aristocats KIDS' to the stage this summer. The free theater camp, open to students entering second through eighth grade, will take place June 16-20, with performances on June 20 and 21. Thanks to donations from Sue Shepard and the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation, participation is free. Space is limited, and registration is first-come, first-served, with a deadline of May 1. Sunshine Daycare in Greenfield is hosting a Trivia Tournament on April 5 at Greenfield Golf and Country Club, AND the deadline to register is tomorrow, Saturday, March 29.
Greenfield United Methodist Church invites everyone to its Farmers, Food, & Family Feud event this Sunday, March 30, at 10 AM. The day will include a worship service focused on gratitude for the growing season, a potluck lunch, and a lively game of Family Feud. Agricultural professionals and supporters are especially welcome, and the event will be livestreamed on YouTube. We have all the details on page 20.

Help plan the 4th of July celebrations in Greenfield this year! The theme for this year's festival is "Back with a Bang." A planning meeting will be held at Hotel Greenfield on March 30th at 4:00 PM. If you are interested in getting involved and helping to make this the best celebration ever, please attend the organizational meeting.
Join the Gathering Place team on Sunday, March 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM for a delicious meal in support of The Gathering Place's many community initiatives. Enjoy hot beef sundaes and dessert for a free-will donation. All proceeds will benefit The Gathering Place’s community initiatives, including the hygiene pantry, winter gear program, Good News Concerts, and general building expenses. Meals will be served in the basement, and at 5:00 PM, head upstairs to the sanctuary for an uplifting Good News Concert. Everyone is welcome!
Good News Concerts presents Harbour Lights Gospel Quartet on March 30th at 5:00 PM. Enjoy an evening of music, food, and fellowship. A free-will donation meal to benefit The Gathering Place will be served from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Gathering Place, 102 SW Kent, Greenfield.

On Tuesday, April 1, NV Varsity Boys' and Girls' Track will head to the Bulldog Relays at Bedford, 4:30–9 PM
Knitting Classes are held every Tuesday at the Orient Public Library from 4:00-5:30. Every level from beginners to experienced, no cost, no reservations needed!
Toddler Time is Wednesday at the Greenfield Public Library at 10:15 AM. Join the library staff in the Junior Room for 15–20 minutes of engaging stories and songs, followed by a short craft and free play with the library’s toys! While the event is tailored for toddlers, siblings are welcome to participate.
After School Crew meets every Wednesday from 2:30–4:00 PM at the Greenfield Public Library. Children ages 7–12 are invited to the Junior Room for a variety of STEAM activities, a short craft, and time to explore the library.
The Orient Community Library is offering chair yoga classes every Wednesday in April from 4-5 PM with Keri Anderson. The first class is free, and subsequent classes cost $5 each, with check-in at the library. This class is designed to relieve tension, increase mobility, improve mood, and calm the mind, with all poses done seated or using a chair for support, and no experience or mat needed.
The monthly Greenfield Chamber Main Street & Development Networking Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 3 in the City Hall Meeting room. This is a truly fantastic way to get to know new people and connect! Make your reservation by Tuesday, April 1 at 12:00!
Pokémon Club meets the first Thursday of each month, 4:30-5:30 PM at the Greenfield Public Library. The club meets Thursday, April 3.
Weave Craft Club meets on Thursdays from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Greenfield Public Library. All types of weavers and fiber artists—whether you crochet, knit, macrame, or do needlepoint—are welcome.

Lost Photos? Photos recovered after the May 21 tornado are now available at the Greenfield Public Library. They are stored in labeled brown paper bags, and a binder with copies of the images is available for easy browsing. Stop by and see if any belong to you.
