Disaster Recovery
“We’re a pretty close, tight-knit community. We’ll get through it. We’ll rally together and Greenfield will rebuild.”
Jennifer Garside, GGCF Director
Following the May 21, 2024, tornado the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation stepped into a new role, disaster response and recovery.
The GGCF board is entirely volunteer-led and since May 2024, board and committee members have logged thousands of hours in hands-on recovery work. Recognizing the scale and complexity of the recovery ahead, GGCF took a bold step forward in June 2024 by hiring a full-time Recovery Coordinator, through grant funds, to lead this work. The Foundation continues to be dedicated to the community’s recovery.
