History

With roots extending back to 1985, the Foundation has a rich 40 legacy of investment in our community’s growth and empowering individuals and organizations to better themselves and our community. The Greater Greenfield Community Foundation was created to accept and administer gifts and bequests for the benefit of the community encompassing Greenfield, Adair County, and beyond if needed. The Foundation carries out many different projects but focuses on cultural, religious, humanitarian, recreational, and educational endeavors.

Mission

Committed to the betterment of Adair County communities, our Foundation serves as a beacon of hope, supporting initiatives that encompass cultural enrichment, religious institutions, humanitarian endeavors, recreational pursuits, and educational advancements.

Past Initiatives

With a long history of giving, the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation has carried out dozens of projects, big and small, to improve the lives of those in our community. Past projects include:

  • Nodaway Valley CSD field improvements
  • Multi-field Sports Complex and Walking Path
  • Alberta Foster Memorial Garden
  • Horizons Project
  • Nodaway Valley Track
  • Over $150,000 given in Howe Grants for projects in Greenfield
  • Over $250,000 in scholarships given to Nodaway Valley Seniors
  • Greenfield City Park equipment
  • Nodaway Lake Campground play equipment
  • Nodaway Valley Elementary School play equipment
  • Lake Greenfield play equipment
